Note: Use this guide in conjunction with the instructions received with your SH-U01 harness kit.

1.  Remove the right side fairing.

2.  Splice the SH harness as follows:

-   Power: Taken from brake/taillight harness, two pin connector, right side, just below the rear brake master cylinder reservoir:
Grey with Red stripe.

 

-   Ground: On the three pin connector to the speed sensor, again under the reservoir:
Blue with Orange stripe on the sensor side of plug. The main side of harness is a different color.

Note: one could quite easily ground to the clutch cover bolts at the same location.

 

-   Signal: Again on the three pin connector to the speed sensor under the reservoir:
Grey with Red stripe, center pin on the sensor end of plug. The main side of harness is a different color.

3.  The picture below shows the SH harness connected:

4.  Hide the harness and connector behind the frame:

5.  Route the harness carefully to the location of the SH. Make sure that there is enough clearance from the radiator fan. Use the supplied zip ties to secure the harness.

6.  I mounted the box  to the right side of the headlight bucket with double stick tape. It is easy to find the max speed button in this location.

7.  Use the on-line calculator to generate the programming instructions.
A quick ride with the GPS showed the speedometer with SH to be perfect.
