2004-2008 Suzuki DL650 V-Strom

Note: Use this guide in conjunction with the instructions received with your SH-S01 harness kit.

On the DL650, the speedo is driven off the front wheel (not the countershaft, like on the DL1000) and the connector plug is on right side behind the radiator just above the front cylinder head (a semi-transparent plastic connector). It can be reached through the frame although space is limited. I used a piece of stiff wire to "grab" the plug wires and pull it closer to the frame where you can get a hold of it.

The picture below shows the relative location of the speed sensor coupler (where the red SH harness is hooked up):

I used my GPS which measured 55.7 at an indicated 60MPH. The calculator said tot. error= +7.7% and SH cal. value = -7.2%.

I programmed the unit for this result and all the way up to 65 MPH (actual) it is virtually spot on, something I didn't expect since my display is analog not an LED. So thank you Speedohealer!!
