SpeedoHealer INSTALLATION

1997-2008 HONDA CBR1100XX BLACKBIRD

Note: Use this guide in conjunction with the instructions received with your SH-H01 harness kit.

1.  Remove the seat, seat cowl and lower fairing cowl:

2.  Remove the bolts from the rear bracket of the fuel tank:

3.  Use a small block of wood to lift up the rear of the tank (around 90mm length is the maximum - due to fuel hoses attached to the tank):

4.  Locate the speed sensor connector. It's in a dust boot behind the left side frame rail. The speed sensor plug is the only three-wire connector in this dust boot:

5.  Pull back the dustboot and connect the SpeedoHealer lead into the speed sensor circuit. Pull down the dustboot and cable tie the SpeedoHealer lead to hold in place:

6.  Attach the SpeedoHealer box in a suitable location. I attached mine to the left subframe rail just above the grab handle used for putting the bike on its centrestand. The box was attached using double sided tape:

7.  In this location the SpeedoHealer box is protected against inadvertent movement of any switches (it's well clear of fingers when putting the bike on the centrestand), is reasonably protected against water, and is easily accessible to press the button for the Max Speed reading without having to lift the seat. It's not as easy to get to for programming as some other locations, but it can be done if you use a pen or small screwdriver.

8.  Use the on-line calculator to generate the programming instructions.
